The handmade jewelry is made with an inlay (semi-precious gemstone or glass ground into a fine sand with a mortar and pestle) of resin and crushed stone or glass. A thin layer of resin is evenly poured over each unique design. Followed by creating a porcelain-like paste by combining the powdered materials as previously described with resin. This lightweight paste is then packed into the back of each bezel and design.
This process is reminiscent of "scagliola," the ancient Roman art of mixing ground marble and granite dust with plaster. This blend of old and new techniques allows the artisan to create jewelry that is bold, lightweight, modern, yet a throwback to the vintage inspired past.
